It is noteworthy that Vishal Ranjan Daftuar, the founder chairman of the global level organization Human Rights Umbrella Foundation-HRUF and international human rights activist, had made a meaningful intervention in this matter on June 19, 2024.
On June 19, Mukesh Kumar Pathak, brother of Amit Kumar of Begusarai, who was stranded in Ethiopia, had sent an application to the HRUF Chairman requesting for help, after which he immediately took initiative in this matter.
On the same day, he informed about this matter to Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sri S. Jaishankar and the Indian Embassy in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
In this context, on June 19, Vishal Daftuar had a long telephone conversation with Sri Sanjeev Ranjan, Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy. Subsequently, on the same day, an official prompt reply was also sent to the HRUF Chairman from the level of Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in which it was written that the Ethiopian company YESU PLC GLAN has agreed for the early return of the Indian workers.
